FTDNA’s Refund Policy:

• Because FamilyTreeDNA.com is an online service, they don’t issue refunds for already completed tests. If the tests have been done in the lab and sent you already, then they won’t give out a refund. This prevents people from using services like these for free test results.
• You will get a refund if you request it before the order reaches the lab, and it’s within 60 days of placing the order. When you are issued a refund it’ll be the total cost of your order, minus $30, for the kit.
• Add ons and upgrades for Individual Factoids, Certificates, individual Autosomal Markers, Autosomal Transfer/Upload Unlocks and individual SNPs are non-refundable.
• Add on tests and upgrades on an existing kit are refundable only if the sample is not yet in the lab though it will incur a 5% fee. All requests for refunds need to be made within 24 hours after the order is placed.
• No refunds will be issued for delays in lab processing since testing times and expected result dates are dependent on the quality of biological sample and lab volume.

International FTDNA Orders:

• All international orders will be refunded at the current exchange rate of the dollar and hence clients may get a lesser or greater amount than what they paid.
• Refund requests need to be received by 5 pm central time in no more than 60 days after the order is placed.
• All refunds will be issued to the original credit card from which the order was placed. It will take up to 30 days for the amount to be credited back into your account.
